...

«La gaviota» de Àlex Rigola. Memorias de un proceso de escenificación

This paper describes and analyses part of the process of staging Àlex Rigola’s The Seagull (Barcelona, 1969). Written as a record, it explores the dramaturgical adaptation, the shaping of the proposed theatrical language, the issues raised, the methods used to stage what was devised (notably those implemented in the field of acting direction through a decàleg de joc) and the stages into which the rehearsal period was divided. Its main objective is to consider the development stage of a theatrical experience by recording specific data and through interpretive description — exegesis — of what has been done in a month and a week of rehearsals. Moreover, the paper seeks to decipher the poetic hybridisation procedures that a creator in the current European scene develops as a strategy to forge their work. In an effort to specifically and representatively distinguish the staging observed here, this has been called narrative naturalism.
...

Vladimir Tzekov. Laboratory of Stage Action. Dependencies and Independence of Contemporary Theatre

In spring 2008, Santiago del Hoyo and Manuel Bonillo settled in Granada after having worked for three years with the company @lma @lter in Bulgaria. They brought together an unstructured and heterogeneous group of people with different backgrounds, contexts and profiles, and created a theatrical rarity that they introduced at the Universidad de Granada that same year. It was entitled Rapsodia n.º 2: “La vida es sueño” and was born of the intersection of a Brahms rhapsody, a pseudo-random selection of the text of Calderon's play, and an overactive philosophical obsession. The theatrical experiment was a success, and they received a small grant that they fully invested in renting premises of 40 m² in a deprived neighbourhood in Granada. In September 2009 they boldly opened the venue to the public, where they offer comprehensive courses in "stage creation" and free shows three times a week. Since then they have produced more than twenty shows, toured some of the most important international experimental theatre circuits, and continue with their stage rarities, which critics and audiences alike regard as unclassifiable. Coinciding with the beginning of spring 2019, the 2nd Research Conference on Independent Theatre was held at the Institut del Teatre. The specification ("independent") of the call first caused bewilderment, and then controversy. The Vladimir Tzekov case, which feels challenged by both, is presented here as a bid to discover, denounce, contradict and subvert its own conditions of possibility, which are the conditions of possibility of its (in)dependencies.
...

...

Visual and Sound Analysis of Onírica Mecánica’s ‘Alicia y las ciudades invisibles’. Independent Theatre in Commercial Networks

...

The Covid-19 pandemic has generated a broad supply and demand of “responses” to and interpretations of the current situation. In the artistic field, lockdown has fostered extimacy and rewarded a series of more or less performative “community” and relational initiatives. Balconies, linked or recorded and shared through mobile phones in real time, have been redefined as spaces for participation in rituals and cultural practices of a collective nature. Specifically, in this article my aim is to reflect on performance and relational aesthetics in a lockdown and post-lockdown situation; that is, subject to logics such as social distancing or other protocols of sanitary and responsible behaviour. In this respect, I will emphasise the metamorphosis of performance, born under the sign of criticism of institutional frameworks, into one of the main channels of community production/expression.
...

Teatre jove i dramatúrgies no textuals.

...
